Another wonderful day at Old Harbor Alliance Agriculture Camp was spent learning, harvesting, and giving back to our community.
Our campers rolled up their sleeves and harvested fresh produce from the farm, including crisp butter lettuce, Chinese cabbage, and nutrient-rich kale. After gathering the harvest, the campers helped package the fresh vegetables and delivered them to households throughout the community. It was a great opportunity for our youth to experience the importance of sharing local, healthy food and caring for our neighbors.
After a busy morning in the gardens, everyone enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch prepared by Billie. The menu featured hearty bison meatball spaghetti, providing a filling meal before the afternoon activities.
Days like these help campers build valuable gardening skills, learn where healthy food comes from, and experience the joy of giving back. We are proud of all of our campers for their hard work and enthusiasm and are grateful to everyone who helps make Agriculture Camp such a meaningful summer program.
Thank you to our campers, OHNC staff, volunteers, and community members for another successful day at the farm. We look forward to seeing what we grow and share next!
