Growing at Sitkalidak Sunrise Farm

It has been a busy and productive growing season at Sitkalidak Sunrise Farm! With plenty of hard work, long summer days, and lots of care, the farm is full of fresh vegetables, and the season isn’t over yet.

We plan to continue growing and harvesting into October, making the most of every remaining week of the season. As produce becomes ready to harvest, we will continue sharing it with our community.

Fresh Produce for Our Community

One of the most important parts of Sitkalidak Sunrise Farm is being able to put fresh, locally grown food into the hands of community members. We will continue handing out fresh produce to the community throughout the growing season, right up until we close the farm for the year in October.

From planting tiny seeds and caring for starts to watering, weeding, harvesting, and sharing the finished produce, a tremendous amount of work goes into each growing season. Seeing fresh vegetables leave the farm and head home with community members makes that work worthwhile.

Look at What’s Growing!

There is so much happening at the farm right now. Our growing spaces are filled with vegetables in different stages—from young plants that still have some growing to do to crops that are ready for harvest.

As we head toward fall, we look forward to watching the remaining crops grow, continuing our harvests, and sharing more fresh food with our community.

Quyanaqpak to everyone who helps plant, water, weed, harvest, distribute produce, and support Sitkalidak Sunrise Farm. Together, we are growing more than vegetables—we are growing local food, knowledge, connections, and community.

Keep an eye out for fresh produce as we continue harvesting through October!
